Age Limit on Gun Ownership?
What do you think? Is she just doing what she needs to do in order to protect herself? Should there be an age limit on gun ownership? Would you encourage your mother or grandmother to carry her own weapon?

I am 68 and will not be restricted because of my age. I love to shoot trap!
It is almost ALWAYS some snivelling little s*$t with an agenda such as hate/anger towards older people in their lives who want to limit our right to live.
I'm 70 and, although I've never been this old before, I see so many 'young/younger" people who can't wipe themselves without help.
This really angers me.
I still run a business, golf, fish, work out, THINK FOR MYSELF and am able to do a lot of other things much better than many many younger people.
This includes physically defending myself.
I just had an email exchange with a friend who is now 50.
She remembers capgun, playing outside and being allowed to be a kid.
I had all sorts of toys when I was a kid and, not a damn one of them led to my being a crinimal.(I can spell criminal butt, I like crinimal better;).
Let some young punk come and try to take something away from me.
They'll see what older people are STILL able to do.
The can take MY gun, one round at a time.
There is a totally legitimate reason for owning my guns.
If something happens, when do the cops get there??
Yeah, they strut in and say,
"We'll get the perp!!"
Too late, hero cop.
I'd rather STOP something from happening to me thasn listen to your self important b.s.
I Agree %100, I am a 68, Female, NRA Member! My Dad Dies for this Country to be Free and that meant Owning and Using Gun's Legally!!! What ever happened to the town that made it Mandatory to own a gun??
If Rachael took the classes and has a CCW... and is qualified to carry legally, No problem in my book. I have a CCW. I seldom carry but that isn't the point. The point is that the more CCWs issued = the more variables the bad guys have to consider. The elderly have just as much right to self defence as everyone else. Anyone who has ever taken CCW classes knows it mostly concerns legal issues. Tactical handgun combat isn't a real big part of the training.
There is an old adage to the effect " Never pick a fight with an old guy. He won't fight with ya... he'll just shoot you..."
The type of neurotic control freaks who are helicopter parents and ANTI everyone else's rights/possession probably want that changed.
Too bad, I supported that FREE attitude.
BTW-I got an email from the censors here whining about some of my language in my gun post.
Imagine that!! They ask our opinions and then want to censor us for them.
Sound familiar??
There is a PHONY comment at the bottom of my ogiginal post in this subject.
It says that my post was edited by me.
IT WAS NOT EDITED BY ME.
It WAS edited by the control freak censors at this site after they asked us about our heart felt opinions on what is important to us as FREE AMERICANS.
Imagine that. Asking us our opinions and then, when WE reply to THEM, THEY censor US.
Where have I seen this occur before?? Hmm??
Are we not adult here with ADULT opinions??
Are we "afraid" of something such as "goddamnit"??
And, what do YOU think of YOUR freedom of speech?
