Question

Quit smoking with better methods?

I’m looking for ways to quit smoking and came across the terminology “Cold Turkey exercise”.  What are Cold turkey and acupuncture methods? Are they really helpful? Is there another method available to quit smoking.

    Question

Cold Turkey exercise means quitting straight forward at once. Like just waking up after a night’s sleep and deciding not to smoke anymore.

Ear acupuncture is the most common form of acupuncture treatment to help quit smoking. Often, small ear seeds can be placed with tape over the useful points in the ear, and allow you to stimulate these points at home between treatments. Do consult an acupuncturist or community acupuncture clinic where you can receive treatment several times per week.

Recently, I found a site http://www.stop-smoking-guru.com.  It has a lot of useful information regarding quitting smoking. Basically it contains an e-book describing a proper procedure for quitting smoking, and its harmful impacts.

    Question

Spot on, guy.  I did it myself Lent of 1972, just said to myself, I do not choose to smoke.  After 40 days of no smoking I lost the craving altogether.  Best way imaginable.  Then there's the new "sulfa" drug - "sulfa-denial."

    Question

Quit smoking is not easy it takes a number of dedication. But stop smoking benefits are uncountable. Here are some: * "Just 24 hours after your last cigarette, you substantially lessen
your chances of having a heart attack."

    * "Two days after your last cigarette, you will notice that your
ability to taste and smell is enhanced."

    * "Three days later, your breathing should be noticeably better
because your lung capacity will be greater."

    Question

WOW thanks for your idea. It really helps. Quitting smoking can reduce your risk to different kinds of diseases. The earlier you quit, the greater the stop smoking benefits.

    Question

I quit 3 years ago using the rx "Chantix, 38 years of smoking. Before that,  I tried all kinds of things including welbutrin(sp) and nicotine gum but none of it worked. Chantix was definately different. For me, it got rid of the "antsy" feeling of withdrawals. You still have to deal with the habit itself, but it's a lot easier to do when you don't feel like you're crawling out of your skin. You should be aware of the possible side effects thought, before taking it- and I DID gain weight.
