Hi, Helen. That is wonderful. When you finish your book, you will have such a sense of accomplishment. It sounds like you are almost there. Is it fiction?
I just finished writing a small book, using my stepfather's journal, about his experience as a World War II POW. He is a wonderful 88-year-old that we love dearly. I used lots of old photos and my brother sat and talked with him at length to add dimension to the story. My stepfather seems to really like the book. I had extra copies printed for him to distribute to his family.

 That sounds like an interesting little book.  Any possibility of publishing it.  I want to get caught up on a few things before I start writing again.  It is fiction but the ideas comes from experiences of myself and others.  Several friends have read part of it and are urging me to finish it so I guess I need to get with it. Helen

I loved your story, it was hilarious and left me with a smile on my face. In no way did I think you actually shut your child in a bed-room and had amorous endeavors.

 Thanks, Sharon, for your kind words. This story is one of 40 short stories and essays of mine that are currently being published. They will be in a soft copy book titled The Nun and the Gardener. The book should be out before the holidays. Sincerely,  LaVerne (Bernie)
