Posted 9:53 pm July 23rd, 2009Hi Deb, thanks for your comment on my blog, The Soapbox. I hope some of the hundreds who join and stay incognito and unheard will begin to share their experiences and thoughts. By the way, the original that prompted me to write Crawdads was on a forum topic in a group......believe it to be Precious Moments. You can click on blogs and you'll see a search space where you can type "Grandma's Knee". Tell me some more about yourself.

What is it called in English? Here they are already gone, to make room for tulips and daffodils. Hyacynths and blauwe druifjes, not sure how you call them. Little blue ones with grape like balls ...
Have a nice Easter!

Posted 7:36 am March 11th, 2009Morning, Deb -
Thanks once again for your nice comments....on my blog and pic (avatar). I keep switching photos on GB which is probably not a good idea. Can't make up my mind which one is the best to use and appreciate your input. Guess I'll stick with "Kitty" for awhile! Yes, I LOVE green. I'm second generation (right off the boats) Irish, you know. You are SO creative with your pictures. Wish I knew how to do all that, but don't. Have a great St. Paddy's....may the wind be always at your back....begorra!!

Posted 5:29 am February 12th, 2009Hallo Debbie,
Yes, it was time for a change in avatar I suppose. You can't wear the same thing for ever
The fact I was 2 faced, and you really only need a halve one made me do it.
I didn't want to be a copy cat, so I cut myself vertically in halves in stead of horizontal.
It sounds as if you need a garage sale! Or are you still under a layer of snow overthere?
That will be a close finish with the newsletter, at least you will have a very updated one with the latest news!
Accountants should earn as much as they deserve
We don't have one either, but filling in taxforms for all of us online is my husbands task. I am very glad it is not mine!
It looks like winter is on the rebound (?) well I sure hope it is. There are some snowdrops already, but also a little snowleftovers.

Posted 6:27 pm January 16th, 2009JUST GRINS
Two Indian women were discussing the merits and faults of their respective husbands. "Mary," said Mollie, "does your ole man talk in his sleep?"
"Nah," replied Mary, "I jus' wish he would. All he does is jus' lay there an' grin."

I just read your comment on my "Pats Debug Double!" profile. I admit, that sometimes I do rate on my own items... but it is for testing purposes only! I swear!

Thanks for the kind words. I see you are my new friend! Lovely. I am not notified when I get a new friend like one is supposed to be because of problems with navigating the GB site, but I'm happy to have you as a pal. Best to you....and Happy New Year!

Posted 5:50 am December 11th, 2008Hi Debbie, how are you, this is an answer to your comment, I think perhaps I better place it here
About those scented candles, I haven't seen them, but we do have electric candles in our tree and you can get these electric candle groups to put on the windowpane. They don't flickr I think. The flickering kind of electric candles in the tree I know too. They drive you nuts
I remember the real candles in the tree we used to have, (over 40 years ago) with a bucket of sand nearby just in case. Of course the candles would only burn for a short while, as it was much to dangerous. My father came home from a trip and he had bought oure first set of electric treecandles in England. Now that changed things!
We once had a meltdown outside, when Toussaint had placed a throw- away bbq on a plastic table. We could see the thing sink in deeper and deeper...

It is when kids go tricker treating, I know that much from watching tvseries
Here in the Netherlands they do that on nov. 11, with burning lantarns and singing songs. Sint Maarten it is called, I think perhaps those two holidays are originally the same fest? Do you know?
