Living in The Villages allows me several opportunites that I would not have had in Elizabethtown Ky. I have beeen fortunate enough to start my own Red Hat Chapter here. We are called the RED Hat Hotties . A friend of mine suggested the name because she was having a hot flash at the time we were trying to pick a name for the chapter! We go to Plays and Musicals. We try to see a play at least every month or two. We have room in our chapter for more members. Contact the National Red Hat Society and they will contat me.

Family
I am married to a great man called Andy. He has been with me for 38 years. We have 2 great grown children. and 5 grandsons. I can't believe my oldest is in college already. I also have a wonderful daughter-in -law and son-in -law.
Education
I went to a small rural elementry school at Vine Grove ,Ky. for 8 years. My parents decided to send me to the city High school in Elizabethtown, Ky. From there I went to our Associate College for 2 years and obtained my degree in Nursng . I practiceded as an R.N. for 25years and then I went to Emory in Alanta and recieved a Certificate to become an ARNP in Womens Health care. I worked for the Health Dept. until I had to medically retire in 1997.
Goals
I want to continue to help people who have chronic health issues and chronic pain like I do to understand that they are not alone. I would like to see our little group of HOPEKEEPERS at my church grow into a big group and expand into other churches in our community. I would like to see National Invisible Chronic Illness Awareness Week become recognized nationally It is the 2nd week in Sept. . I want to continue to serve my God as he wants me too. I want to continue to have enough health to enjoy what life I can with my husband, fa,mily, amd friends.
