Help the SPCA of Central Florida

It's rough out there for everyone in this economy, including pets.  I work at the SPCA of Central Florida and have seen a rise in pets being given up because people are unable to afford them.  We are in the midst of getting donations for our largest fundraising walk, and the donations are not coming in.  We are at only 10% of our goal, and the walk is in less than a month! If you are able to give, please sign up to join the walk or just sponsor the event or a friend, relative, etc. who may join the walk.  Just go to www.orlandopets.org and click on the "Paws in the Park" link. If not sure who to sponsor, feel free to sponsor one of the volunteer teams, which are composed of local SPCA volunteers who donate their time, and often times their money, to the SPCA. The event will be held at Lake Eola Park on Saturday, February 13th.  All proceeds benefit the SPCA shelters in Orange and Seminole Counties.  The SPCA of Central Florida is a private, independant 501(c) (3) organization, listed by Charity Navigator as a 4 star charity (the highest rating available on the website.)

I have personally rescued two dogs, both of which were scheduled for euthanasia.  They have become such an important part of my life - if I could afford it, I would adopt so many more. Please help all the animals who, through no fault of their own, have found themselves without the love of humans. All they have to offer is love and laughs ...
