So far today, it's a beautiful Autumn day in Connecticut. There's a
cool breeze, and the high temperature will be around 65. The air
smells so fresh. It might rain later in the day, but I'll enjoy what were
having right now.
A severe weather warning has been issued for Connecticut. Winter storm Austin is due to arrive about 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2008.
The weather forecasters are predicting 6 to 14 inches of snow for most of the state. The shoreline will get less. The storm is still 8 hours away, but 34 school closings have already been issued.
As
of December 23, 2008, people are still displaced by what has been
deemed one of the worst ice storms in New England in at least the past
decade. Some families will not be back in their homes in time for
Christmas.
