About Me

I am a breast cancer survivor. I call myself a professional volunteer and I work on behalf of the American Cancer Society & the Sanford Relay for Life as well as Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. I also participate in the American Diabetes Association's Step Out for Diabetes. And, I also volunteer with the American Lung Association's Asthma Walk. Besides my community activities, I am a 2008 United Arts of Central Florida grant winner (Literature) and I'm writing a play titled "Chemonologues," a play about cancer survivors. I am interviewing cancer survivors right now for my project. (If you're interested in being included, please contact me ASAP.)

Goals

To stay healthy & become stronger each day. To write a play that truly tells the story of the cancer survivors I have interviewed. To get the books out of my computer & onto a publisher and, at long last, onto the shelves of book stores nationwide. To travel & enjoy life. To have fun!

People I'd like to meet

I've been lucky. I have met a lot of interesting people over the years especially during the time when my career allowed me the opportunity to interview individuals in all aspects of life -- from political figures to the everyday person on the street.  I just like meeting new people.
