      Showers of Happienss

      Tomorrow (Sat. Oct. 23) -- My daughter's bridal shower. Wow! I can't believe we are almost at the big day. (1-1-11) Seems like yesterday when she and Jason got engaged. And now, a shower for the bride. I'm so happy for her. And I wish her all of life's best!

      Inviting Cancer Survivors with a story to tell...

      I'm a breast cancer survivor. As part of my own journey, I am writing a play titled Chemonologues, a play about cancer survivors. This project is funded, in part, by a grant from United Arts of Central Florida. I am looking for cancer survivor who wish to share their stories. I won't be using actual names within the play itself; but do intend to acknowledge all those who help me with this project...

      I have a friend, a very special one indeed. And on Dec. 6, this fine gentleman celebrated his 85th birthday. To make it extra special, his daughter planned a surprise party. In fact, it was his very first real birthday party. Apparently, throughout his younger years and while married, he was never able to actually celebrate his birthday with a party.       Big time depression!

      I'm so depressed right now that I can't think straight. I have so many things to do, but can't concentrate to get stuff done. I am so unhappy and it's only day number six of the new year. I am hoping for a great 2009, but so far, it seems like a big let down and a continuation of 2008 -- a really awful year in terms of finances, my personal life, and other stuff.
