About Me

I'm a breast cancer survivor and I enjoy volunteering. I work on behalf of the American Cancer Society's Sanford Relay for Life of Sanford and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. I also participate in the American Diabetes Association's Step Out for Diabetes.  I was a 2008 United Arts of Central Florida grant winner (Literature) and wrote a play titled "Chemonologues," a play about cancer survivors. A play reading was held in March 2010 at Theatre Downtown. Now, I'm working on a book titled: High Maintenance.. Surviving Cancer at All Costs. I'm also into exercise. I love Zumba. I also do Water Fitness, Tai Chi and Aqua Zumba. I'm an avid walker, even if my pace is somewhat slower than in previous years. Traveling is also a passion.
