Born in and love Upstate NY. Passionate about natural resources and actively pursue time in nature hiking, canoeing, camping, etc. Work as an urban and regional planner in South Florida. I am mother to a teenage daughter who is a beautiful and brilliant independent thinker that dares to be different. Favorite foods: sushi, fruits and veggies, chocolate, wine. I am the youngest in a long line of siblings. From oldest to youngest, Howard, Sheila, James, Steven, Mark, Robert, me!
Both parents still alive and kicking...me mostly! Flora Mae in Decatur, Alabama and Charles Emmett in Rochester, NY. Both are my heroes.
I'm Irish and German, but us O's and Mc's are, shall we say, prolific. I have so many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that I honestly can't put a number on it. Love 'em all!
I lost my maternal grandmother in 2007; one of the greatest losses of my life. She will always be a role model for me to aspire to. I love you Blanche Irene.
