Born in Minnesota, but moved to San Diego when I was nine. Spent the next 30 years in San Diego, so consider it my hometown. Spent 5 years in St Louis, MO before moving to Florida. Spent 2 years in the Army, and was stationed in Monterey, CA. Worked for General Dynamics for 35 years before retiring in 1991. After retiring, I started my own sports marketing and promotion business, which I still own. We concentrate on promoting motocross and supercross races. I also started a web design business in 2000, and am still busy with it. I don't plan on retiring again.
I enjoy motorcycle riding and racing, and have done it for almost 50 years. Each year I go on a solo motorcycle adventure for over a month. I cover from 6000 to 10000 miles of back roads on each trip. I've seen a lot of beautiful places in the US, Canada and Mexico, and look forward to exploring more of our beautiful county for many more years.

Posted 11:57pm January 1st, 2010Hi Bill....I'm glad to see that you still ride your motorcycle. I ride mine almost every day. I was planning a trip to the Rockies this past Septemember, but it snowed early, and I know from experience that snow and motorcycles don't mix. I spent about two weeks in the Rockies in 2008, but want to go back and hit some of the back roads and even some of the dirt roads that really get you into the wilderness. I'm going to get up there this year for sure, but it's going to be before or after the summer months, so I don't have to battle summer vacationers.
I did manage a trip to the Everglades, which was great. We found a dirt road that took us through 30 miles of real back country, and lots of critters.
