About Me

I am an ultra marathon runner, having run 135 ultras and 84 marathons in a 27 year period.  I have run nearly 800 races, including a couple of Ironman events in Kona, HI and specialize in the 24hr run.  In 2005, 2006, and 2007 I finished as the second overall male at the 24hr national championships.


I enjoy writing and speaking to groups regarding health and exercise as I was once obese and now, through running, hold over 50 national titles and have broken more than 50 American records.

Family

My wife passed away on April 19, 2007 and I am currently in a long distance relationship with a lady I ran a marathon with, 20 years ago.  We have managed to see each other nearly every month since we became interested in each other.  I have a daughter, 38, who is married and has two children, a boy 6 and girl 10.    

Education

I am a high school graduate, with lots of life's lessons and experiences adding to my education.

Goals

I would like to get married again, continue to run, write a book of my life and just continue to be happy.
