Teksita Corporation is an online provider of live and on-demand video
production, and video enabled communication and promotion services.
Teksita, means "woven" in the Esperanto
language. Esperanto, a word that means "one who hopes" in the language
itself, was created to foster international peace and understanding.
Teksita Corporation was founded in 2006 and builds on the concept that
we are all members of the woven tapestry of humanity; each person,
community, and business with its own message, voice and audience
inextricably adding to the fabric of life on Earth. Something very
special and important is happening in the world these days. It is known
as convergence.
The convergence of the telephone, TV, web, and personal devices is
accelerating rapidly. Everyone, everywhere will use online video
communication and promotion systems. Convergence is connecting people
and changing lives in exciting and dramatic ways.
Teksita
founder, J. Brewer, has combined his education in theatre, film and TV, a
28-year corporate and entrepreneurial career in technology, media, and
marketing disciplines, and an unquenchable entrepreneurial spirit to
this technological and human convergence. While Teksita has its own
online properties and projects, we passionately engage in highly
creative projects for visionary clients. These projects employ online,
media-centric communication and promotion systems, services, strategies
and solutions. We serve individuals, communities, organizations and
businesses. As the CEO of Teksita Corporation, J. leads an enterprise
devoted to our clients' voices and messages being heard and seen by
their audiences.
Mr. Brewer is an information technology expert
with an extensive background in the Internet industry: He founded
Teksita Corporation, an online provider of video production,
communication and promotion services for small and mid-size businesses.
He co-founded and served as CEO and president of IntelliSTAR, recognized
by the Orlando Business Journal as a top five Internet services
provider during the 1990s. He also served as IT vice president for
JoePix, Inc., a leading online provider of special event photography
programs for a client list including NBC, Sprint, Pepsi, Monster.com,
American Express, House of Blues, Sam Adams, Hollywood Records, Macy's,
Motorola and others. He helped negotiate a multi-million dollar
acquisition of JoePix by PhotoPoint Corporation, and later served as COO
of EZPrints, a leading provider of online digital photofinishing
services. Before entering the Internet technology field, Mr. Brewer
spent a decade in a variety of IT leadership roles at Lockheed Martin,
primarily in systems integration and networking. After formation of the
Transportation Security Administration, he took a hiatus from the
Internet to assist TSA as a consulting project manager for airport
security officer assessment and hiring, responsible for IT and medical
personnel from Jacksonville, Florida to Anchorage, Alaska. Mr. Brewer is
a graduate of Florida State University, where he studied theatre, film
and television.
J. Brewer lives in the central Florida area and
serves on the boards of several other companies, works as an instructor
and business mentor at the Women's Business Center at Florida Institute of Technology, is active in the community, and is the proud father of three exceptional young men.
