Posted 3:48am September 30th, 2009In June 1937 my father Abdur Rahman Chughtai, artist of international reputation was in Berlin. We have a poem written by an artist that is dated 27th June 1937. He met Adolf Hitler in either Adlon Hotel or Hotel Tempo both in Berlin.He has recorded this in his autobiography.
M.A. Rahman Chughtai is well known in Germany. In 1975 his death was condoled by President Walrter Scheel of Germany. I was there at the Presidents House in Bonn in 1976 to present himn a painting.
Adlon or Tempo is the place. Chughtai was in Berlin. And that is history!
