Bob Kealing is a three time Emmy award-winning reporter.
In 2007, he and Growing Bolder photojournalist Jason Morrow received another Emmy nomination for their profile of Florida painter Al Black, "A Highwayman's Redemption." His work has been featured on "Dateline NBC," MSNBC, CNBC, Court TV, CNN, C-Span and "The Montel Williams Show." Since he joined WESH-TV IN 1992, Kealing has covered major stories nationally and internationally. He has witnessed four executions. He covers the space program as a national correspondant for the NBC Newschannel. He also worked in that capacity during the 2004-05 hurricanes.
Kealing is author of two books, "Kerouac in Florida: Where the Road Ends," and the 2008 University Press of Florida release, "Tupperware, Unsealed." He is co-founder of the Jack Kerouac Writers in Residence Project of Orlando. His nonprofit charity raised funds to buy and renovate Kerouac's historic Orlando home and turn it into a writers retreat.
In December 2002, the City of Orlando designated the Kerouac House a historic landmark.
