I was born in Binghamton, New York on May 10, 1946. I spent my youth in California eventually studying Art at California State University before training as a helicopter pilot with the U. S. Army. I served as a helicopter gunship pilot in Vietnam from 1968-1969. I completed my education with a Master of Fine Arts from the Instituto Allende, San Miguel de Allende in Mexico. I taught Studio Art and Art History classes until 2005 at Troy University. During those years I exhibited my paintings throughout the Southeastern United States and in Mexico. My work is in the permanent collections of three museums, several public institutions and four major private collections. Since retirement I have operated a private studio in my home where I accept and complete portrait commissions. I also produce paintings for private galleries in Alabama and Florida.
