Cancer Courage Stories Meet Brent Naylor

About Me

Hi. I'm Dr. John Langdon.  After 40 years practicing medicine, I believe there's incredible power in the sharing of patients' stories.  The private nature of the doctor-patient relationship limits my ability to do this on my own.  But there is a better way than me telling your story and that is you relating your own experience.

Every patient has the right to tell his own story and there are pearls of wisdom and examples of courage in every cancer experience.  I want to help cancer survivors share their stories.  I am convinced after years of listening to cancer patients that you can really make a difference, helping others to find the strength to battle and win.  If you have a Cancer Courage Story, please add it to the comment section below and help others discover everything from a new clinical trial to a better way of managing stress.

As time goes on we hope to provide a variety of experts to add their thoughts to those of our members.  As of this moment you are now a member of a new social network committed to enhancing the lives of cancer patients.  By the way I am committed to the idea that you are a cancer survivor from the first moment of your diagnosis.  Please don't discount the value of your experience.  Good physicians have always believed that patients are their best teachers!  With over ten million cancer survivors there is a wealth of experience and knowledge that needs to be shared for the benefit of both patients and physicians.

In the future I'll be adding tips about preventing, treating and surviving cancer. Also, the Growing Bolder Radio Show has some great, inspirational interviews with cancer survivors.  To listen to some of them, check my links section below. I will also be adding more valuable links to resources that may be of interest to our members.

  • You Survived

You are a cancer survivor from the day you are diagnosed.  We are on track to see nearly 11 million cancer survivors emerging from their treatment in the not too distant future.  It could not be a more exciting and hopeful time for cancer...
