FamilyI have a 35-year-old son who is married with two children, a daughter who just turned 8, and a son who will turn 4 on Cinqo de Mayo, May 5th.
My daughter is 33 and divorced, with 3 children. An 11-year-old son, an almost 8-year-old daughter, and a five-year-old daughter.
EducationAfter being married for 21 years, after my divorce, I went back to college and earned my diploma in Business Administration Management. After 10 years at that, I went back to school and took training for Certified Nursing Assistant. Now, I just babysit the adorable 3-month old son of my best friend, who had a surprise pregnancy at 39, and delivered at age 40, the very day of my daughter's 33rd birthday. I have nasty sciatica issues that forced me out of the nursing profession, since I had every intention of going back to college and earning my RN. I realized that it would be nuts; not because of my age, but because my husband and I have some hardcore financial struggles going on, and it would be ludicrous to incur a $46,000 student loan dept at 56 years of age.
GoalsI do have goals. I want to move back to either Washington State near Bellingham or Lindon to be nearer to my children and my grandchildren, who all live in British Columbia, (about 45 minutes east of Vancouver where the 2010 Winter Olympics were held), or back to British Columbia, most of my family still lives. Even though I was born in the U.S., I had lived in Canada since I was three, and had married a Canadian Serviceman. Thus, both of me children were born in Canada. I even served in the Canadian Militia (equivalent to U.S. National Guard), after taking out Canadian Citizenship in 1980, but since I never took an Oath of Renunciation, I never gave up my claim to American Citizenship. Thus, I am now a Dual Citizen.
People I'd like to meetNice people with integrity. I am ambivelent about celebrities, although I have met a few.
