My mother who is soon to be 96 lives with me. In her 90's she had a partial hip replacement which has slowed her down both physically and mentally. I hate seeing such a rapid physical decline of a once vital and very informed lady who never new age but is now cognizant of how insular her present physicality is making her. She is losing her hearing and eyesight and is fearful of leaving the house. When she had all he faculties she was a veritable dervish. No longer is she whirling and twirling with her inexhaustible joie de vie! This is so hard to accept and to see this general decline and not be able to do anything! But one must learn from this situation! Shakespeare's King Lear is a meticulous insight to aging and its foibles.
Born and raised in Calcutta India to a French father and an English mother. Schooled in Darjeeling and Bangalore, India. College at The Pasadena Playhouse of Theatre Arts from which I graduated "cum laude." From the USA I moved to London England where I lived and worked for 17 years mostly in the Entertainment Industry traveling to Europe and the Far East. In 1978 I returned to the USA to be a part of "Hello Hollywood, Hello!" at that time the world's largest production show on the world's largest stage (an acre) in teh smallest little city in the world, Reno, Nevada! I was with the show till it closed in 1989 and then was transferred to Las Vegas and "Jubilee" as Assistant Company Manager. In 1992, I came to Florida and joined Universal Studios Orlando as a show director. Worked with Universal for 13 and 1/2 years and am now a consultant. I don't want to retir I need the stimulation of work and interaction with people!
Interaction with people. Helping others in any way I can. Be able to work a full time schedule where I can interact and meet people and assist and be able to enjoy life's artistic and personal moments!
Too numerous to being to detail!
