My wife and I, recently retired and having lived our entire lives in South Africa, have also travelled (camping) throughout this region over some 40 years, are now looking to broaden our scope and to include in our travels, Namibia, Botswana, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya, Mozambique and more. (Some of which we have visted in the past).
We are planning an extensive and extended safari covering these areas during 2012 and 2013 and are looking for those with similar interests to join us on a participatory, self drive basis on all or part of this expedition.
We will be concentrating on wildlife, nature, photography, geography, geology, topography, culture and historical aspects of the areas that we travel through. 
We anticipate starting this expedition in March 2012 from either Johannesburg or Durban, South Africa.

We will be starting a mailing list to any interested parties and will build on this leading up to the departure date.
Any participants will be expected to be self sufficient in every way and all bookings, reservations will be made by each particpating party individually.
We will merely provide a common discussion point, through this or other forum and will assist in sharing information relative to the planned trip.
We will assist on co-ordinating interest parties itineraries, documentation etc. and assist as needed in planning the trip.
Finally, those actually committing to the trip will be required to register as participants and sign indemnities.
Thereafter, comnunications will be established within this registered group for planning and logistical issues to be dealt with.
