Welcome to Growing Bolder.com. Say hello to Boomer. You're probably wondering why your first friend is a squirrel. Well, to be honest, things can get a little nutty around here. But mostly, Boomer represents the Growing Bolder can-do spirit.
As new features are unveiled, you'll see them on this page first so we encourage you to keep Boomer as your friend. Also, feel free to leave any comments or questions below about GrowingBolder.com. Who knows? Someone else may have your same question. So, we'll post the answers right here on this page.
Happy surfing! Sorry, happy skiing.

Posted 1:42 pm July 1st, 2009Hi Boomer,
Thanks for the welcome. I'm so new that I'm still snooping around gb looking to see if there is a "niche" for lil ol me. So far, I'm impressed with the over-all tone and welcoming feeling here.
This is a great idea. Happy to have discovered you.
I am an enthusiastic older adult with many interests, hobbies and great curiosity. I hope to find others like me here
I do have one question for you as regards your terms of service, (which I did read), and ownership of items posted on this site. Not being fluent in "legalese", I'm not clear on whether or not to post say, in the creative writing group, an original poem. By doing so, would I be assigning away any of the rights to my work? I do understand that gb would be allowed to display it, which is fine, though ownership is a different matter and not fine at all. Can you clarify this for me? I am a published writer, and I do belong to several writing sites as well. Most of them make it clear that all rights to an auther's original work stay with the auther. I apologize in advance if the information was there and I missed it or "didn't get it", lol- admittedly, for a woman who loves to think, my mind sometimes becomes another four-letter word- (mush), yikes, how scarey is that?
Thanks again,
I send smiles,
toes
BTW, great shots of your brahmas! Now I'll have to post one of my mom and dad's longhorn bull. He's a handsome fella named Bambam.

Posted 2:10 am June 28th, 2009Lassie was one of my favorite programs, too. Now I have a wonderful collie that's a certified therapy dog. We volunteer in schools and libraries, helping children learn to read and love to read. Would love to have you visit my site, www.librarydogs.com

Posted 9:08 am June 13th, 2009Hey Boomer,
My sister, Simply Deb posted a picture in GB for National Doughnut Day that I had taken. I had made some homemade doughnuts. I climbed my ladder and put them all over the roof of my shed to feed the birds and some of your distant relatives...Haha

Posted 11:59 am April 23rd, 2009Well, Boomer - Specifically, you are a ground squirrel - commonly known as a chipmunk. I love squirrels and chipmunks in reality.
Simply Deb introduced me to Growing Bolder. We know each other from "another place". She thought I would "fit right in"...so here I am!!!
Now I have to go and wander around and see if i "fit in" to any of the groups.
