Boomer:I consider myself to be a very rich and wealthy man amongst the rich and the famous because I do not think of ever having an enemy as long as I remember so when I find another friend like you I am feeling richer by the day.

My daily prayer to God is not to give me another friend as good friends come in time like you now,  BUT not to have an enemy EVER as I cannot afford a single enemy but can afford many friends.

Thank you for welcoming me and be my fried.

This is a great community of people of great heart to give back and intellect and I am very much honored and privileged to be among you.

I sure will spread the word about you guys in the communities I serve, Africans (natives and naturalized) and friends of Africa here in my beloved home America and back home in Africa (Ethiopia) another beloved home.

I have some difficulty unloading a picture I put as it shows as double and a header on one of the picture as my Fair Trade friends when they were actually my running friends some 40 years ago. I think I will overcome by spendinding much time on it just like everything else.

I have noticed that it has been quite a while since anyone has posted a comment, hope you haven't felt too lonely....ha! ha!
I ran across your site when a friend (my husband) sent me an email with a video about the "Fastest 57 Chevy in the World". I scanned across the site and found it interesting so I decided to participate.
I only hope I hold up as well in my 50's as Wilhemina has at 107, she is a true inspiration...
Till another day, keep your nest full of acorns and watch for cars!!!
    God Bless.

Hello Boomer and thanks for being my new pal.  I enjoy feeding your cousins in my back yard...they always make me smile.

    Fondly,

Hi Boomer!  How cute!  Thank you for the warm welcome!  I knew a couple of your cousins over twenty years ago that were so bold that they would haltingly run up to me and take peanuts (in the shell) out of my mouth!  I LOVE squirrels!

I also want to comment about Rachel.  She really reminds me of a wonderfully feisty lady I worked for when I was fifteen.  Her name was Margaret L. Murray, but insisted that everyone called her "Ma" Murray, and she owned the Bridge River-Lillooet News in British Columbia, Canada.  When I met her for my job interview as a volunteer news correspondant, she bombed down the road and pulled into the parking lot on a motorcycle!  She was eighty-four years old!

I intend to emulate her feisty character, which won't be hard because I am cut from the same cloth!

High there, glad to be here, love the sight.  I hope it stays clean, enough trash in the world today as it is.

Help, Boomer!  I have lots of bulletins automatically (I suppose) posted on my profile page, and need to remove some.  Have exhausted my limited knowledge of technology, and would appreciate any thoughts on this subject.

...and oh, yes, I am enjoying reading and participating in the blogs.  Exception:  The healthcare discussion got nasty and became something other than a debate....or even factual.   Do appreciate the Growing Bolder homepage this week and the variety of healthcare issues being presented.

    Hi Boomer,

This is a very nice website, still trying to figure it out. As a senior citizen, both my husband and I like volunteering, and belong to RSVP.  We also go to our local Senior Citizen Center, for meals, Mon thru Fri, and enjoy meeting people from every walk of life.

Hi Boomer...about time us Sr. Citizens get something we can enjoy. My husband (90) and myself (77) sang, he played guitar and entertained for the nursing homes, churchs, birthdays, funerals, weddings, for over 15 years here in Fla.  Oh how we enjoyed doing that..but due to health issues had to give it up.  We now only sing every month in our church. Glad to be members.

    Hi  Boomer.

You  look like a pretty  cool squirrel.  My  dog loves to watch your cousins run up and down the trees and she love to run after them.  Don't  worry she never catches them.  Thanks  for the welcome

I'm glad a friend emailed me this website!
    I now am a member...
At 82 and cruising, taking care of my husband, fooling around on the computer and planning one more drive around the country, usually 8.000 to 10,000 miles, back this time to visit his sister, she has Az and he has Az/dementia(not too sure of which) as well as NPH.
You can do what you REALLY want to do!

Hey Boomer.....thanks for the welcome.....and thanks for the Rachel videos....had never heard of this site until today when someone forwarded the original Rachel flick.....Rachel for President!  My Mom is 91 and still driving and working....her car is not quite that old though.  Let's hear it for these American treasures like Rachel and Eleanor who know what it means to be proud citizens of the US of A and spunky enough to be examples to others!

Hi Boomer, thank you for the welcome. I found it fitting that my first welcome should be a squirrel. You see I've been trying to get rid of a squirrel, who I call Squirrely Burly, who keeps jumping on the bird feeder out back, stealing all seeds. There was a sand hill crane who has scared him a few times, but it seems he's taken off since July 4th weekend. I figure he's on vacation somewhere south. As you can see in the pic, Squirrel Burly is getting very fat.
