At Growing Bolder, we like to say that it's never too late and that ordinary people can achieve extraordinary things. Jean Evansmore is living proof that those aren't just mottos -- they're examples for the rest of us to follow.
Jean had never even exercised until she was nearly 65 years old. But then her doctors told her she had to start losing weight or she was facing taking a lot of medicines to keep her health in order. Since she says she was never one to take a lot of medication, she decided to get active.
Not only did she get active, she started breaking records.
The 71-year-old is now the oldest person to complete seven marathons -- in seven days.
Her marathons have now taken her to all 50 states and she has reached her goal of completing 100 marathons.
Jean says she's going to start "slowing down" now by "only" doing one half-marathon and one marathon per month.
She shares her training tips and secrets and how important it is for all of us to change our perspective from time to time. Before she got active and started losing weight, she thought she was in good shape. It's only when she stepped outside of the world she knew that she realized how much she was missing.
Find out how you can make changes today, too ... at any age.
