I have always cringed seeing newspaper photos of people reaching 100 and they are wheelchair slumped in nursing homes & without any sort of flicker that might be a plus under "quality of life." The poor souls are dressed up like organ grinder monkeys, with no dignity or respect or intelligence that equals :wisdom." I have also worked in nursing homes & have been truthfully told that being over 100 with zero independence and without health is a gruesome end.
But those who reach awesome years with their vital essence intact- well, WHooooo-Hoooo! for them! (and what hope for the rest of us)
