Petula Clark became a mega-superstar in Europe before crossing the ocean and becoming a household name in America with her hit song "Downtown."

Her singing career began as a nine-year-old child star singing for the British troops with Julie Andrews. She was known as the British Shirley Temple and now, Petula Clark is known for her superstar status at the age of 76.
Clark has become a star in every medium – pop, Vegas, Broadway and even country. She's been recording for 50 years nonstop and has sold 58 million records.
These days, she's back in the studio and getting ready for a UK tour.
She talks with Growing Bolder about her journey to superstardom and how she went from a sensation in Europe to a mega-sensation in the States.
