Remembering Ruth

This is a slide show of pictures taken during the final 6 months of Ruth Hamilton's amazing life. Growing Bolder introduced Ruth to the Internet and video blogging in her 109th year. The rest is history.

Ruth immediately grapsed the power of this new medium to connect with people all over the world. A retired school teacher, Ruth took great joy in, once again, having an opportunity to teach. We not only learned more about this incredible woman but also about the potential of the internet to reach and engage socially isolated seniors. When we opened the laptop and told Ruth the stage was hers, she came alive and the years melted away.

The longer Ruth blogged, the more she remembered. Her thoughts became more clear and more profound. Everytime we were with Ruth, we witnessed an amazing transformation. Our only regret is that we didn't introduce her to the Internet sooner and, of course, that she didn't live longer.
