Description

"Ask not what your country can do for, ask what you can do for your country." -- President John F. Kennedy, 1961

When President Kennedy uttered those famous words in his inaugural address, the groundwork for the Peace Corps was laid.

Since then, more than 200,000 volunteers have helped people in countries across the globe.

Many from that first wave of volunteers in the 1960s are getting a second chance to make a difference thanks to Chris Klose, who helped found Peace Corps Encore.

He explained the organization to Growing Bolder and how former Peace Corp volunteers have even more to offer now than they did decades ago.
