Description

She may not be Snow White, but author and radio show host Beverly Mahone has her own set of Seven Dwarfs to worry about.

Mahone is the author of the book "A Baby Boomer's Journey into Middle Age," and she says that middle age women have to deal with Menopause and the Seven Dwarfs -- Sweaty, Bloated, Forgetful, Bitchy, Itchy, Sleepy and All Dried Up.

To help women with their big issues as they enter into middle age, Mahone hosted the very first Baby Boomer Girlfriends Spring Break in Daytona Beach April 18-21.

She talks with Growing Bolder about her big girls' week out and what other issues middle age women are facing.

I'm more and more envious of those who get to go to the retreat - wish the retreat wasn't up against one of my biggest art shows of the year!
Boomer Babes - I love it, now we're Boomer Babes and Divas!

It has been an honor for me to get to know Beverly through the Boomer Diva Nation.  She sets goals and achieves each and every one of them.  I have eager anticipation for what all those in attendance to the retreat are going to experience.  It is only the beginning of something very, very big!

Beverly is indeed a visionary of our times. Too often in this society are we, the Baby Boomers ignored!  We are brilliant, wealthy consumers and have the experience to share our wisdom with the young who must walk the road we all know too well.  I look forward to performing for these inspiring women in Daytona at the Cabaret on Saturday, April 19, 2008 as I have all over the world with the likes of Lionel Hampton, Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard.  I am very happy to have been invited to be a part of Beverly's vision and will do all I can to share my talents as she deems necessary. For a sample of what is to come on Saturday I invite you to listen to my music at www.silkywaters.com and bring all your friends to this great innovative event. I look forward to seeing you there!
