To be mentioned in the same breath as Elvis Presley is one thing, but to be in the same list of top four recording artists of all time with Elvis, The Beatles and Ray Charles is a whole other accomplishment -- and Brenda Lee has done it.

Lee, however, didn't like to stick to one side of the fence. She was successful both on the country front and in the rock 'n' roll arena, and she recorded 29 gold records in the 60s.

For her accomplishments, Lee is being honored at the 43rd American Country Music Awards later this year. She's joining the likes of Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Hank Williams Jr.

Lee, known as "Little Ms. Dynamite," was so famous in the '60s, the Beatles opened up for her when she went on tour!

Thanks to Lee, the world was introduced to Nashville's sounds of country music. She's even the youngest person to ever be inducted into the hall of fame -- she was only two years old!

Best known for her song "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," Lee is adding to her accolades and awards while in her 58th year in the business.

She talks with Growing Bolder about some of her awards and what it was like to rock and still stay country.

thank you for the great interview with brenda lee.i have loved her since i was a young girl,she is just the best .i saw her in concert in rhode island , many years ago.she was great ,i thank God for giving us such a talented intertianer and such a wonderful human being. i love her cd gospel duets with treasured friends,it is so up lifting. i wanted to thank her for it . love you , lin

Thank you so much for the wonderful interview with Brenda Lee. She is such a special lady. I have been a fan of Brenda's since I was 12 and I'm 61 now, so you can see I've been a fan for a long time. I have the honor of being able to call Brenda a friend also. Never in my wildest dreams when I was 12 did I ever imagine I would be friends with Brenda one day. But I can tell you, Brenda is such a sweet lady that she becomes friends with most of her fans.
