Intergenerational Homerun
Posted March 8, 2009, 8:59 pm in MusicIt's the big news in both the music and gaming industries. Rock Band is being made with music by the Beatles. If there was ever a game to bring together parents from the baby boomer generation and their teenage children, this is it.
The Beatles' music is still unavailable in iTunes, so Rock Band will give teens who don't buy CDs another way to listen to their music. Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono and Olivia Harrison are all backing the game. The game will include songs from the Beatles' first album "Please Please Me" until the last album, "Abbey Road."
The release date for The Beatles: Rock Band is September 9, 2009. The game will be available for Xbox, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. Instruments will be sold modeled after those used by the Beatles.
