Martha Reeves
Posted December 23, 2007, 10:43 am in Music by Growing BolderRock and Roll Hall of Famer Martha Reeves rose to stardom in the 1960s as the leader of the wildly successful Motown group Martha and the Vandellas.
Even after all these years, she says her love of music keeps her passionate and full of energy.
But she's more than just a pretty voice. She is half-way through her first four-year term on the Detroit City Council.
She tells Growing Bolder that her political life has allowed her to bestow a well-deserved honor on Berry Gordy Jr., the man who turned her into a star.

So, nice to hear the story from the artist's mouth. Very nice

of Detroit parks and intra- structure.
