Picture of the Day: Mykonos
The Greek island of Mykonos is one of the world's great travel meccas. It's the most touristed island in the Aegean. Whitewashed cube-like buildings fit closely together to form a haphazard maze of narrow alley ways and streets. According to Greek mythology, both Hercules and Poseidon had a hand in destroying some of the Giants that opposed Zeus on this very island. Later, the island was named in honor of Apollo's grandson Mykons.
