Oldest Champion in History

"Stump"Zoom In
What a comeback. He nearly died a few years ago from a serious bacterial infection. But even that couldn’t keep him down. At 70 years of age, he came out of retirement just one week ago and with no training, entered the ring entered the ring against the best-of-the-best. Whipping competitors one-third his age, he won the biggest event of all to become the oldest champion in history.

Congratulations to “Stump,” the Sussex Spaniel. Stump just won the Westminster Kennel Club dog show — the Super Bowl for canines — at the ripe old age of 10. That’s 70 in human years.  That makes Stump the oldest Best in Show winner in Westminster's 133-year history.

Stump won the sporting group at Westminster in 2004, then went into retirement. Soon after, he nearly died from the infection and spent 19 days in the hospital.

For the past 4 years, Stump lived a dogs life,  chillin' with his master.  But just 5 days before Westminster, his owner/handler thought, 'Why not one more walk on the green carpet at the Garden?'  Even dogs are Growing Bolder.

Yea, that's my bowl.
