Growing Bolder in 2009

It’s that time of year again. A new year filled with new hope. It’s the time when we all make resolutions to spend more time with family and friends, help others, get fit, lose weight, run a marathon, start a new business, change jobs, beat a disease, learn something new, take new chances.

Wanting to change is an epidemic. Who do you know that doesn’t want a more meaningful life?  Creating lasting change is far more difficult.  It’s like losing a couple of pounds. Anyone can do that. But keeping the weight off is far more difficult. Life coaches, psychologists, weight loss clinics, health clubs, self-help books and more are everywhere. Even in this economy, the “change industry” is booming.

So how do you do it? The best way to change your life is to model others who already have. Allow yourself to learn from and be inspired by those who have gone before you. The best way to change your life is to surround yourself with a community of encouragers.
