In her book, "Dating After 50: Negotiating the Minefields of Mid-Life Romance," Dr. Romm leads new daters through every step, from the safest ways to find dates to advice on managing second families, former spouses and retirement issues.
She talked to Growing Bolder about some of the challenges of dating again after the end of a long-term relationship and how to move forward.
She says she believes being over 50 means you are starting the best part of life.
