Happy Birthday, Banana George!

Everyone's favorite barefoot water skier celebrates a big birthday this weekend.

"Banana" George Blair turns 96 on Saturday. His wife, Joanne, tells us they will celebrate at their home in New York City, surrounded by family.

She reports Banana is doing well. Last year, he was even featured on a fashion blog, sporting his trademark yellow clothes:

Banana started barefoot water skiing in his late 40s. Since he first tried it, he's set Guinness World records and perfected the art of barefoot skiing on two feet, one foot and even using just his mouth. When he was still in his 80s, he took GB's Marc Middleton out on the water to show off his moves.

Since first meeting, Banana, we also learned of his love for hot chicks and cool cars:


One of the most remarkable feats we've ever witnessed was his fierce determination to battle back from pneumonia and six back surgeries and get back on the water at the age of 93.


Unfortunately, that was Banana's last time on the water. Despite his health setbacks, his love of life and razor-sharp wit remain in tact.
