Jackie Shaner Carlin is Growing Bolder's Director of Web Content. She is a veteran of new media and start-up ventures.

She covered politics and the historic presidential election of 2000 for ABCNEWS.com from the network’s Washington bureau. After the election, she began producing former White House chief correspondent Sam Donaldson's daily Webcast SamDonaldson@ABCNEWS.com. The 30-minute, live show featured interviews with everyone from Sir Sean Connery to Placido Domingo to Washington’s top leaders.

After Sept. 11, 2001, Jackie helped launch and produce Sam Donaldson: Live in America, a daily three-hour talk radio show broadcast on ABC affiliates across the country.

In 2003, Jackie moved to Florida and became the supervising producer of the Smart Woman series for Ivanhoe Broadcast News, the nation’s leading provider of health and family stories for local TV stations.

Jackie joined the Web staff at WESH.com, the NBC affiliate in Orlando, Fla., in 2004. In addition to her online reporting duties, Jackie was also a regular contributor to the newscasts on tech and Web-related issues.

Jackie is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
