Nominating and Selection Process
Posted January 22, 2008, 10:16 pm by Growing BolderNominating Process:
Anyone can nominate a candidate for the GB Hall of Fame by completing the official nomination form soon to be available at growingbolder.com. The nomination form must include appropriate documentation including a resume and non-returnable photo. The Nominating Committee will screen all nominees, confirming their contributions and conducting further research, if necessary. The nominating Committee will reduce the field to the 20 most qualified candidates and forward the "short list" to the Selection Committee.
Selection Process:
The Selectors are charged with the task of assuring that inductees are the finest and most qualified representatives from the "short list" of nominees. The current rules do not set a specific number for any new class of inductees; however, the goal is to achieve between four and seven new inductees each year. Every nominee for induction must receive an 80 percent approval rating by the Selectors Committee and approval by the Hall of Fame Committee.
