Bill Shafer is Executive Vice President of the Growing Bolder Media Group. A broadcast veteran considered one of America's best storytellers, Bill has been one of Central Florida's most honored journalists for nearly three decades.

As news anchor, sports director and lifestyle reporter, he brought seemingly ordinary people to the forefront and proved everyone has a story. While other reporting trends and fads came and went, his aim-for-the-heart style never faded. He won numerous awards for his work, including Emmy nominations and Central Florida Press Club Awards

Bill has been presented with many community honors, including the Key To The City of Winter Springs FL, the Golden Leaf Award for Community Leadership, and he is a driving force behind many fundraising projects and organizations. He served as the regional representative of the Jefferson Awards, a national program that recognizes unsung heroes.

He helped create and establish the Celebrity Mascot Games, now in its 15th year, to benefit New Hope for Kids. He was a key fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Compassion Children's Fund and many civic groups and organizations.
