Did You Know?

Posted June 4, 2008, 11:21 am by Growing Bolder

This Friday marks 64 years since World War II's Invasion of Normandy, better known as D-Day. It was the heroic, deadly push that turned the tide of the war in favor of the Allies who stormed the beaches through a combination of parachute and glider landings, air attacks, and naval bombardments. More than 130,000 troops took part on June 6, 1944. Do you know someone who served in WWII? Honor him or her by writing a blog and sharing your thanks here on GrowingBolder.com.
