Featured Bloggers

Posted March 31, 2009, 7:20 pm

Growing Bolder is blessed with some fabulously talented bloggers. They are all very different. Some are funny. Others are thought-provoking or inspiring. Some write about very serious issues and others write romantic poetry. They all have unique voices that are reflected in their blogs. Rather than featuring their individual blogs, as we usually do, we thought we’d feature their bodies of work. Click on any blogger below to go to their blog archive page and dive in.

Terry: Terry has done it all -- advertising, Wall Street, banking, she's even worked for the Navy as a computer specialist. Now retired, she writes incredible poetry. Whimsical, silly and sometimes sardonic or romantic, her poems will make you think and, more importantly, make you feel.

The Midlife Gals:  KK and SalGal are out there. Way out there. Don't miss the hilarious and irreverent observations by two twisted middle-aged sisters in Texas.

sherisaid: Don't ever miss what sherisaid. "A freelance writer, web developer and lifelong Hopeum addict. I don't accept limitations, I just try to find away around them." Knows all the words to Kumbaya.

babyboomerbev: "I'm still Hot -- it just comes in Flashes now!"  A former radio and TV journalist, Bev is an author and founder of Boomer Diva Nation.

Dave Knechel: A humble man with a very large sense of humor, Dave Knechel can write. Every blog is a compelling short story. It's only a matter time before he writes a novel. BTW, Dave answers just about every comment left on his blogs.

runswithstilettos:  A consumate wordsmith, runswithstilletos is an author whose frequent blogs are always a great read. "I confess to a certain relentless optimism at difficult times.  Often life hands you awful situations where you can either laugh or cry.  I'd rather laugh, pretty much every time!"

Deedra Hunter: A licensed Mental Health Counselor and author, Deedra is a specialist on "re-writing your life story to move from pain to greater peace." She knows what she writes about. "I was raised having to beg for everything and being resented for any need that pertained for my well being. There was always plenty of money for my parents' cigarettes, booze and sleeping pills, but very little left over for school shoes and first day supplies."

Amy KR:  Amy KR manages a sleep lab where she helps patients revolve sleep disorders. She likes to cook and loves to blog about healthcare.  She's back in school finishing her degree in Organizational Management.

Ann: Ann is in love with life. A retired hair stylist who has her own website design company and works part-time on a TV show, Ann loves travel, country music, HGTV, NASCAR, decorating, sewing, and writing.

Ginger!: A very talented performer, Ginger! donates her time performing at assisted living centers. As a blogger, she definitely has a opinion and isn't afraid to share it.  "I realize I'm not a genius, wouldn't be accepted into MENSA, and definitely not an expert on finance. However, it doesn't take Albert Einstein to figure out what's wrong with our world today: absolute greed."

Ina: Ina is a Dutch writer of (light) fiction who wants to "explore this great site,  and possibilities. I hope to write some blogs in English here without too many ugly mistakes." We're thrilled to have you, Ina. Keep up the good work!
