When Harlem native Barbara Hillary learned a black man had reached the top of the world but a woman hadn't, she decided to do something about it. So, the 75-year-old cancer survivor strapped on a pair of cross-country skis and trekked to the North Pole. She tells the Growing Bolder Radio Show that after photographing polar bears and learning to drive a dog sled, the North Pole just seemed to be the logical next step. Take a few moments with Barbara and she'll share her inspiring philosophy on life. It's something all of us can take to heart, no matter who we are or what curveballs life has thrown at us.
