She played meddling mother and wife Marie Barone on the TV show "Everybody Loves Raymond," but the reason we really love Doris Roberts is her advocacy against ageism. Roberts testified before the U.S. Senate on the subject and addressed the Committee on Aging in 2002. She says it's unfair that just because someone lives beyond the age of 50 that they can't work anymore. Roberts talks to Growing Bolder about the opportunities for older people in Hollywood and how they're perceived when they're in the limelight.
