Growing Bolder Member and Ameican hero Col. Joe Kittinger is part of an elite team that will attempt to break Kittinger's 50-year-old record for the highest manned balloon ascent and highest parachute jump later this year. Kittinger's jump from 102,800 feet in 1960 is considered one of the greatest feats in aerospace history. No one has been able to break his record and some have died trying.
