Award-winning journalist; lead correspondent for CBS's 60 Minutes for 37 years. In the course of his career, Wallace has sat down with some of the world's most prominent newsmakers.

Wallace's professional honors include at least 20 Emmy Awards. He has also won three Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards, three George Foster Peabody Awards, a Robert E. Sherwood Award, a Distinguished Achievement Award from the University of Southern California School Of Journalism and a Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award in the international broadcast category.

After the Age of 70

• Was a full-time correspondent for 60 Minutes until he was 87, though he still contributes occasional pieces to the program.
• At age 73 (1991), he was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame
• At age 75 (1993), he was named Broadcaster of the Year by the International Radio and Television Society.
  
• At age 78 (1996), won the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award grand prize
  
• At age 85 (2003), received a Lifetime Achievement Emmy, his 20th
• At age 87 (2005), broke the story about Jose Canseco's steroid use

• At age 88 (2006), received a Emmy for his interview with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
