Sept. 7, 2008: Larry Page and Sergey Brin founded Google Inc. with four computers and an investor's $100,000 bet. Today Google has nearly 20,000 employees and a $150-billion market value.

Picture of the Day: The Corinth Canal in Greece. The canal is 4 miles long and connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Aegean Sea. The Canal was proposed as early as the 7th Century B.C. but wasn't completed until 1898. Both Julius Caesar & Nero tried to build it, but both died and the project stalled.
