The Col. Joseph Kittinger Park
Posted March 16, 2011, 1:05 pmOur friend Col. Joseph Kittinger was honored in Orlando, Fla., this week at the grand reopening of a city park named in his honor. The park features a loudspeaker system that allows park visitors to listen to Air Traffic Control Tower conversations at the adjacent airport. There are also plans to install an F-4 Phantom, the same type of plane Kittinger piloted during the Vietnam War. Click here to learn about Joe's historic, daring feats.
