In 1929: Disguised as Chicago police officers, Al Capone's mobsters take out six of George "Bugs" Moran's gang in a warehouse. The hit becomes known as the Saint Valentine's Day massacre.
In 1962: First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy conducts a televised tour of the White House.
In 1966: Wilt Chamberlain continues his love affair with the basket, breaking the NBA career scoring record. He will later be passed by current points champion Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
In 1969: Hairdresser Vickie Jones is arrested in Florida for trying to pass herself off as Aretha Franklin at a concert. Her concert performance was so believable and realistic that no one asked for a refund!
In 1972: The musical "Grease" opens at the Eden Theatre in New York City and becomes the longest-running musical ever. Forget about Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta -- the opening night cast is led by Adrienne Barbeau and Barry Bostwick.
In 1972: John Lennon and Yoko Ono co-host "The Mike Douglas Show" for an entire week, resulting in what many believe is the most interesting and compelling week of shows in talk format history.
