If music is the purest form of art, then karaoke is the cup of turpentine you wash your paintbrush in! Yet, something fascinating is taking place. Despite hauling in over $2 billion last year, the industry saw a sharp decline in young users. Guess who's picking up the slack. Yep, it's the over 50 crowd. Why not? Karaoke takes the passive act of listening to music and turns it into a lively social activity! Or at least it WAS until Bill Shafer got involved!
